The conclusion by the court was that it did not violate these rights. In the case of high school athletes, under the state s supervision, during school hours, they are subject to greater control than other free adults. The privacy interests comprised by urine samples are negligible since the conditions of collection are similar to public restrooms, and the results are viewed by limited authorities. The court also stated that governmental concern over the safety of minors, under their supervision, overrides intrusion of the student-<br>athlete s privacy.<br>This case answers the question about drug testing student-athletes, but the question of testing the total school population is still open to the court.<br><br>Summary<br><br>More and more schools, in Arkansas, have been going to the drug testing program, not only to test athletes, but to test total school population.<br><br>The teachers have developed a growing concern about drug testing and infringement on teachers rights for privacy. After the student survey went out, the Personnel Policy Committee sent out their own survey to the teachers. Now we will have a chance to see how teachers will react to the possibility of being tested. Let s see if they can behave as well as their students.community. <br><br>A Question of Priorities<br><br>Being successful in high school coaching has become a challenge in today s world because of all the distractions.  Compared to as recently as 10 years ago, many things have changed for today s high school students. The lifestyle, the freedom, the things they can do everyone s got a car now. Unfortunately, the opportunity to get into trouble is also greater and sometimes coaching seems like a fight between good and evil. However, I believe that basically every kid is good; it s just a matter of steering them in the right direction. And with both the parents working, we spend more time with these kids than their parents do.<br><br>  We strive to teach kids not to drink or smoke, and to do the right thing it s a constd he s able to find your weak links, says David.  He also understands football, and what you need to be successful at your position. <br>When he first started working with Poliquin and learned about the coach s plan to add so much muscle mass, David was hesitant.  But as I put on the muscle and got my body used to running with a different weight, I saw that I was able to keep my speed and be even faster than I was before, says David. He also remarks that the extra strength helped his blocking and enabled him to handle press coverage from the cornerbacks better than he had been able to do when he was lighter.<br>In addition to coaching David in gaining muscle mass, Poliquin worked on making him a more balanced athlete. David explains,  The first time you meet Charles he does an overall body composition test and then determines your weaknesses. Poliquin determined that David was proportionately weaker in his lower back, hamstrings and the scapulae retractors (muscles that pull the shoulders back). For the lower back and hamstrings, Poliquin prescribed good mornings, and both Romanian and snatch-grip deadlifts. For his back muscles, David performed numerous variations of chin-ups and pull-ups.<br>One of the most effective exercise methods David was exposed to in training with Coach Poliquin was lifting chains.  That was the first time I did it and I liked the philosophy behind it, says David.
